The Trust is always looking for ways to improve it's service and this year we have introduced two new items.
Thanks to funding from the Lions Clubs of Wiltshire we are now able to install Carbon Monoxide alarms. The operators have seen that there is an obvious need for these vital life-saving detectors and now thanks to the Lions Club we are now able to fit them where appropriate.
We have recently joined up with Wiltshire Police to install and service 'covert cameras'. These cameras are deployed where a vulnerable victim has been the victim of distraction burglary and it is deemed that they are at risk of becoming one again in the near future, or if someone appears to be targeted on a regular basis because of their vulnerability. Evidence from these camaras can be used in court against an offender.
Many thanks to Wiltshire Community Safety Partnership for funding our new van (pictured) and laptops to enable us to carry out this role.
Our sincere thanks to:
South Western Housing
and
Radian
for their generous support in 2011.
